Should the unfortunate occur and you suffer damage to your property or cause damage or injury to third parties then it may prove necessary to pursue a claim against your Insurers.

Initially you should conduct emergency repairs in the event that your property has been damaged and then obtain two independent estimates which should identify the cost and scope of repairs required.

With regard to allegations of negligence or injury to third parties you should obtain a statement of the circumstances surrounding the incident whilst this is still fresh in the minds of those who witnessed same and forward any correspondence from claimants unanswered other than an acknowledgement to say that you have received same and have passed this to your Broker.
