Following the aftermath of the atrocities in the United States of America on 11th September 2001, insurers and market bodies such as the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA), had been in discussion with the UK Government regarding the future of terrorism insurance cover for businesses in the UK. In consequence all insurers have introduced new war and terrorism exclusions to their policy wordings for new and existing policies. Previously the Government backed terrorism facility (Pool Re) provided terrorism cover for individual policyholders over and above the heads of cover provided by the underlying commercial property covers up to the total sum insured or limit of liability

We can arrange Terrorism cover in respect of a Household risk to a Rock concert whether in the UK, Europe or Worldwide. This is a specific product which runs in conjunction with your existing policy and can be custom made to suit your requirements.

Some Insurers have excluded all Terrorism cover for Household / Residential policies and AIFlTD have access to a specific scheme for Residential Domestic Properties whether owner occupied or let to Professionals, Students, Income Support tenants or Local Authority Sponsored. Premiums in the UK start at £40.00 for Domestic premises and £60.00 for Commercial premises excluding Insurance Premium Tax.
